Alter: [unklar]; Großes Fährunglück bei Erl. Bayrische Ausflügler wollten mit der Drahtfähre von Tirol aus ans andere Ufer, um den Abendzug noch zu erreichen. Boot war überfüllt. Führungsholz brach und das Boot kippte um. Einige Passagiere konnten schwimmend das Ufer erreichen, andere wurden fortgetrieben und ertranken. Darunter auch der Fährmann Huber. 9-16 Todesopfer befürchtet. Genaue Zahl und Namen aus der Presse nicht eruierbar.
