Alter: 19; Student aus Breslau, in Innsbruck inskribiert. Unternahm mit 4 weiteren Kollegen eine Tour auf die Nordkette. Wollte vom Hafelekar zur Frau Hitt wandern. Kehrten auf Rat eines Einheimischen auf halben Weg um. Nebel fiel ein, Pätzold, der als letzter der Gruppe ging, verlor den Anschluss und wurde später vermisst. Seine Leiche wurde am 19.6. im Steinkar gefunden und nach Breslau überführt.
