Der verstorbene Mattheus Wagner, Handelsmann und Bürger von Hall, hat in seinem Testament vom 15. April 1628 für fromme Stiftungen bei der Nikolauskirche in Hall 1900 Gulden gestiftet, wofür jährlich 15 Messen zu lesen sind. 1636 hat sein Bruder Georg Wagner, Bürgermeister von Hall, 260 Gulden für zwei Messen gestiftet.
